Overleaf Server Pro 5.4.0 is available

We are pleased to announce Overleaf Server Pro 5.4.0! This release includes new features, security updates to the base image and installed packages, along with improvements and bug fixes. You can read the full release notes here.

We advise all customers to upgrade to Server Pro 5.4.0 at their earliest convenience.

What’s new?

Server Pro 5.4.0 introduces the following features:

• Added export-user-projects.mjs script for exporting all or selected projects. See more details in the documentation.
• TeX Live 2025 is now the default image when not using Sandboxed Compiles in Server Pro.

What’s fixed?

• Documentation access issues for instances running behind a proxy.

Other changes

• Implemented rate limiter for the LDAP /login endpoint.
• Reduced data loss risk during instance shutdown with a new MAX_RECONNECT_GRACEFULLY_INTERVAL_MS environment variable for better control over the delay between editor reconnection, data flushing, and container shutdown.
