    Beta Feature: Writefull & Overleaf

We’re pleased to announce that our friends at Writefull are beta testing a language feedback tool for Overleaf that is specifically geared towards academic research writing.

The app checks grammar and gives language feedback on the text you write in Overleaf. Using language models trained on millions of journal articles, Writefull corrects grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and more. Writefull is specifically designed to provide language suggestions for research writing. Read our full blog post for more on this.

Initial feedback has been very positive:

Helping you work from home during COVID19

At the start of the Coronavirus/COVID19 pandemic, we introduced a temporary free upgrade programme as our immediate response. This programme ran for three months covering April-June 2020, and helped over 45,000 people use Overleaf more effectively during this time.

To help you continue to collaborate throughout 2020 and beyond, we are continuing to provide additional support and initiatives. These include our webinars, as mentioned above, as well as:

30% or more off our annual subscriptions

We're providing special discounts to our annual plans, to help you continue to collaborate beyond the end of the free upgrade. We've introduced special WFH2020 discounts to our individual plans: the Student, Collaborator and Professional upgrades, to go along with our existing discounted group bundles.

(or 30% off the Student or Professional upgrade, or select a group plan)

Overleaf Commons available at 90+ institutions

Overleaf Commons helps ensure that everyone at an institution can make use of the full power of Overleaf in their writings and collaborations, by providing access to Overleaf Professional accounts for all students, faculty and staff. Check to see if your university is already a subscriber. View Institutions on Overleaf.

Gigaleaf! Bringing Overleaf and Gigantum together

Our friends at Gigantum have launched Gigleaf, which will automatically update your Overleaf project with your latest research results, helping you to keep your paper in sync with your research. You can read more about this in our guest blog post written by Dean Kleissas, CTO of Gigantum....Read more

    Customer Appreciation

As always it’s wonderful to see more and more organizations and institutions supporting their teams and members with Overleaf Institutional, Enterprise or Group accounts.

We now have over 90 institutional customers with Overleaf Commons, our cloud-based licence, and hundreds of business customers signing up for our Overleaf Enterprise solutions. Plus many more smaller group accounts in university departments and labs around the world.

A few from this month that we’re delighted to welcome are:

Overleaf makes it easy to collaboratively write mathematical documents using a tech stack our team already knows. The comment and review functionality gives it a google docs feel and the available templates and autocompletion features make it that much friendlier than standard LaTeX.
