LaTeX templates — National University of Singapore (NUS)

An up-to-date LaTeX template for thesis at National University of Singapore (NUS). This template strictly adheres to the university's official guideline (https://fass.nus.edu.sg/chs/wp-content/uploads/sites/3/2020/08/General-Guidelines-and-Instructions-on-Format-of-Research-Thesis-and-Electronic-Submission.pdf).

The package provides a LaTeX document class for writing a PhD thesis. The author developed it while writing his PhD thesis in School of Computing (SoC), National University of Singapore (NUS). By default, the class adheres to the NUS Guidelines on Format of Research Thesis Submitted For Examination. However, the class for conformation to a different guideline should not be difficult. This repository contains a LaTeX template intended to conform to the National University of Singapore's (NUS) stylesheet as documented in General Guidelines on Format of Research Thesis Submitted For Examination (RO.1042/03). This template was used for a dissertation accepted for final submission by the National University of Singapore and King's College London Joint Degree Programme (JDP) as is. The author makes no guarantees that the template will conform to future requirements or other departments. The repository itself may be used as a template from which to structure one's own dissertation project. This template is designed to be used with the XeLaTeX package.

This set of LaTeX code (mainly nusthesis.cls) composes a template of NUS thesis, which is compliant with the university's requirement. Using this template to organize your thesis content can save a lot of effort spent on formatting. Your edit should start with main.tex, which is also the compilation entry. Sources of individual chapters as well as abstract, acknowledgments, appendices, etc., are placed in the chapters folder. Illustrative figures and analytical plottings should be stored in the pic and exp folders respectively. Please refer to the GitHub repository for more details as well as timely updates.
